Life, Race & Competition

Life is not a race nor a competition,

Because we all have different starting lines. 

And also because we all have different hurdles during the journey. 

If you were to treat it as a competition, it will always be an unfair one. 

And you, you will always be unhappy because of that.

The thing that is ironically sad is that, sometimes people hurt others first before they get hurt. 

Perhaps, this is a form of defense mechanism.

Think Better of Them Anyway

When you are in a state of unsure about someone's personality or someone's words,

always stick to the positive notion about it.

Never make negative assumption about someone you don't know, do not make bad judgment on things you just heard about. 

Why find excuses to scorn when you have option to be neutral and happy? 

Ignorance may not be bliss, but ignoring the negativity always is. 

Remember, 

always think better of them anyway.

When one does not brag,

doesn't mean that one does not have any specialty.

When one does not state out his/her principle,

doesn't mean that one does not have one.

Sometimes, people prefer action rather than justification through words.

Action speaks for itself if you bother to notice or listen to it.

Ain't it funny

Ain't it funny,

We can forget all the good things a person did, when that person did one mistake or being bad for just once,

and we began to suspect that all the good things he or she did was insincere.

Why it is so much easier to believe that one person is really bad than to believe that one person is really good?

Or at least, believe that one person is neutral and good but with a few weaknesses and flaws? 

I wonder, is it because evil is more real than kindness?

Just because majority likes you, doesn't mean that you are truly a good person,

and just because majority hates you, doesn't mean that you are truly a bad person.

People can only judge you based on what they see or feel, but only God knows who you really are within.

I Ain't Nobody's Shadow.

"It's better to be alone than to be somebody's sidekick.

At least, by being alone, there is a chance for you to be less lonely because there is a chance people will approach you.

But by being somebody's sidekick, nobody would have a chance to approach you because your 'so-called boss' will never let you have that chance and keep you forever in his or her shadow.

So don't be afraid to be alone as long as you're being yourself."
